Mark was born and raised in Quispamsis and played every sport growing up from basketball to soccer. Mark got his bachelor of Kinesiology from UNB where played for the Varsity Reds Men’ soccer team then worked with the wrestling basketball and soccer teams as their student trainer. He also worked with the Fredericton Black Kats football team. After receiving his bachelors degree from UNB Mark went west to Mount Royal University in Calgary where he attained his Athletic Therapy Certificate.
Mark returned to the Maritimes and worked 6 years in the QMJHL with the PEI Rocket, Rimouski Oceanic, Bathurst Titan and then his hometown team the Saint John Sea Dogs.
Mark is also the Head Therapist for team Canada’s Junior Men’s Softball team. He will be travelling again with team Canada to the World Championships for 2022 in Parana Argentina. This will be his 6th World Championship event with team Canada.
As an athletic therapist Mark is best known for his finess in prophylactic taping, concussion management, manual therapy, strength and conditioning and return to sport evaluations.
In his spare time Mark can be found playing slopitch or coaching his 3 daughter’s (Julia, Zoe, Bella) softball and hockey teams.
