A typical yoga session will include breathing exercises, meditation, and a sequence of alternating postures and poses.
Not only will yoga improve your core strength and overall muscle tone it tests your ability to remain relaxed and have controlled breathing during deep movements and prolonged postures. Uniting these elements allows for the mind-body approach that will improve energy, cognitive function, focus, and mood. From the competitive athlete to anyone diagnosed with chronic disease or dysfunction, yoga serves as a great tool for both healing the mind and body and staying healthy.
