Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a type of bodywork that uses gentle pressure on the head, neck and back to relieve the stress and pain caused by compression. The craniosacral system follows a rhythm, and the skull bones accommodate its pulse. This pulse of energy flows between our head and pelvic area and is as essential, measurable, and tangible as our breath and heart rate. A craniosacral practitioner evaluates and optimizes the pulse of the craniosacral rhythm. This is a gentle, often deeply intuitive technique that seeks to remove blockages from the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the central nervous system. CST treatment enhances the body’s ability to heal and can be used to treat a number of conditions including migraines and headaches, IBS, sleep disturbances, fibromyalgia, trauma recovery, neck pain, and mood disorders. Craniosacral therapy is offered in our Riverview location by Ashley Brzezicki, Registered Massage Therapist, and in our Moncton location by Jessica Hansen, Registered Massage Therapist.
