Please be sure to wear a mask to cover your mouth (a bandana or scarf will do)

Please enter the building at the exact time for your appointment to avoid having people in our waiting room

Please be sure to wash/sanitize your hands when you arrive at the clinic and after your appointment

Please consider storing your credit card information with the reception so that we can make the billing process easier

Please consider accepting email receipts to make the billing process easier and less instances of contact

Please respect social distancing of 2meters with others in the clinic other than your therapist

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

Distancing: Our clinic will adapt rules for physical distancing between clients and staff, excluding the therapist of 2 meters (or 6 feet) apart.

Guests: Our clinic will limit the presence of others accompanying the client to the strict minimum. This may vary depending on the needs of each client.

Seating: Our clinic will modify seating in the waiting room / changing areas so there is appropriate space between seats.

Markings: Our clinic will have clear markings for physical distancing in the reception area if clients arrive early.

Reminders: Our clinic will have printed reminders of measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 posted in the clinic.

Arrival times: Our clinic will request that the client enter our clinic at the exact time for their appointment, and it is asked that their therapist be on time to greet them as they enter the clinic. Our clinic will also space the arrival times of clients to best of our ability to ensure they can easily remain at a safe distance from each other.

Unnecessary movements: Our clinic will direct the client immediately to their treatment area to prevent unnecessary movement from one area to another.

Contactless payment: Our clinic will actively promote contactless payment options as well as promote email receipts

Booking: Our clinic will have physiotherapists and massage therapist rebook clients in the treatment room to decrease exposure with the receptionist and others who may be in the waiting room. Online Booking will be encouraged

CLEANING AND DISINFECTING

Our clinic will clean and disinfect all items (i.e. chair, table, plinth, instruments, exercise equipment etc.) that the client encountered using a surface disinfectant before and after each consultation.

Our clinic will change all linens before and after each consultation/treatment session

Our clinic will perform a scheduled clinic-wide cleaning and disinfecting every 2 hours during opening hours and at the end of the day, in addition to the cleaning and disinfecting mentioned above.

HAND AND RESPIRATORY HYGIENE

Staff must wear appropriate PPE. (gloves, face-shield, gown or long-sleeved lab coat & mask).

Staff will apply the rules to properly don and doff PPE.

Clients will be asked to wear a mask to their appointment. This will be communicated with them at the time of booking and they will be reminded when they enter the clinic. We will do our best to keep in supply enough masks for those that may forget.

Upon arrival to the clinic, the client will be asked to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with an alcohol-based disinfectant, or with soap and water. They will be asked to repeat this routine at the end of their treatment session.

Our rehab professionals will wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with an alcohol-based disinfectant, or with soap and water before & after each client visit. If gloves are worn, staff will wash their hands as well to avoid crosscontamination.

If soiled, staff will change their mask or other PPE after the consultation.

Administrative staff will wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with an alcohol-based disinfectant, or with soap and water in between each client encounter if passing paper, pens, etc.

Our clinic will have disinfectant pumps available at reception as well as in all places that require contact with objects (i.e. signing forms, etc.).

Proper hand hygiene / hand washing signs will be posted in all client and staff washrooms, as well as the reception area.

PRE-SCREENING FOR SYMPTOMS

Clients will be pre-screened for symptoms at the time of booking an appointment using the “screening questionnaire for COVID-19”.

Clients will be screened for symptoms again the day of the appointment using the “screening questionnaire for COVID-19”

.

Staff (i.e. administrative staff, all health professionals, etc.) will be screened for symptoms at at the beginning of their work day using the “screening questionnaire for COVID-19”

.

On the day of the appointment, the treating health professional will document the client’s COVID-19 screen was completed and negative.
Clients & staff will abide by the same recommendations as above if they meet even one of the following conditions:

Signs or symptoms such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, diarrhea, or loss of taste or smell.

Return from a trip outside the province within the last 14 days

Positive COVID-19 test within the last month or awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test

Close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days
